Date - 01.07.2025 to 07.07.2025 Event - Tree Plantation Drive – VAN MAHOTSAV – Festival of Trees Kerala Public School, Burmamines, proudly celebrated Van Mahotsav – The Festival of Trees, a week-long tree plantation drive held annually from July 1st to July 7th. This vibrant and meaningful event is part of a nationwide initiative that began in 1950, pioneered by K.M. Munshi, the then Union Minister for Agriculture and Food. The drive at KPS aimed to instill a sense of environmental responsibility among students and the wider community, highlighting the vital role trees play in sustaining life on Earth. During the week, students, teachers, and staff actively participated in planting saplings within and around the school premises, reinforcing the message of afforestation and ecological balance. Van Mahotsav at Kerala Public School, Burmamines, served not just as a ceremonial plantation event, but as a powerful call to action—reminding everyone that planting a tree today ensures a greener, healthier tomorrow.
