Date - 04.08.25 Event - Friendship Day celebration 2025 Friendship Day Celebration at Kerala Public School, Burmamines Kerala Public School, Burmamines celebrated Friendship Day with great enthusiasm and a meaningful message of bonding—not just with peers, but also with nature. The day began with a special morning assembly where Principal Ma’am delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of friendship in our lives. She emphasized how true friends support, care, and help one another grow, and encouraged students to be kind, compassionate, and trustworthy. The students celebrated the day with a unique and meaningful initiative that beautifully blended the spirit of friendship with environmental awareness. Instead of limiting their celebrations to just their classmates, the students extended their circle of friendship to nature by tying colourful friendship bands to the trees on the school campus. With this symbolic gesture, they declared the trees as their green friends, committing themselves to their care and conservation. The students pledged to protect their new friends—the trees—by watering them regularly, avoiding harm, and spreading awareness about the importance of afforestation. This act not only fostered a sense of responsibility among the young learners but also highlighted the vital role trees play in sustaining life on Earth. Adding to the warmth of the day, students also exchanged handmade friendship cards with their classmates, spreading love, unity, and positivity. The school environment was filled with smiles, laughter, and a sense of deeper connection—not just with each other, but with the natural world around them. The celebration stood out as a creative blend of emotional bonding and ecological responsibility, leaving a lasting impression on every participant.
