Date - 20.08.25 Event - Workshop on Mushroom Cultivation by Aident Social Welfare Organisation A special workshop on Mushroom Cultivation was held at Kerala Public School,Burmamines. This workshop was conducted by Aident Social Welfare Organisation. The interactive session aimed at creating awareness about sustainable farming practices and introducing students to the immense potential of mushroom cultivation as a source of nutrition as well as entrepreneurship. Experts from Aident Social Welfare Organisation explained the process of mushroom cultivation step by step – from preparation of the growing medium to harvesting – with live demonstrations that made the session engaging and practical. Students learned about the nutritional value of mushrooms, their medicinal properties, and the possibilities of mushroom farming as a viable small-scale business venture. Members of the Interact Club and Eco Club of the school also actively contributed to the workshop, assisting in demonstrations, engaging in discussions, and sharing ideas on sustainable practices. Their involvement added great value and encouraged other students to participate wholeheartedly. The workshop proved to be an enriching experience, inspiring young minds to think innovatively about agriculture, self-reliance, and environmental sustainability.
