Date - 22.07.25 Event- CBSE Initiative: Establishment of ‘Sugar Board’ In a progressive move towards promoting student health and well-being, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced the establishment of a ‘Sugar Board’ in schools. This initiative aims to monitor and reduce sugar intake among children, fostering healthier dietary habits from an early age. As part of this initiative, an awareness seminar was also conducted by Ms. Harpritam Kaur, an expert in nutrition and child health. During the seminar, students were educated on the harmful effects of excessive sugar consumption, including obesity, dental problems, and the risk of lifestyle diseases. Ms. Kaur emphasized the importance of reading food labels, choosing natural sugars over processed ones, and developing mindful eating habits. This initiative marks a significant step toward creating a healthier school environment and instilling lifelong nutritional awareness in students.
