Date - 20.07.25 Event - Dolphin Conservation Awareness Program under "Project Dolphin" Kerala Public School, Burmamines, organized a Dolphin Conservation Awareness Program as part of the national initiative “Project Dolphin”, launched by the Government of India to protect and preserve the endangered dolphin species in both freshwater and marine ecosystems. The day began with a special Assembly, during which students and teachers took a heartfelt Dolphin Conservation Pledge, committing themselves to spread awareness and contribute to the protection of these intelligent and gentle creatures. The pledge highlighted the importance of conserving aquatic biodiversity and maintaining the health of our river and ocean ecosystems. To further engage students in the cause, a Painting Activity was conducted for students of Classes VI to VIII, where they creatively expressed their understanding of dolphin conservation. Their artworks beautifully depicted the grace of dolphins and the urgent need to protect their habitats from pollution, overfishing, and other threats. The initiative not only sparked awareness about the endangered status of dolphins, especially the Ganges River Dolphin, but also encouraged young minds to take responsibility as future environmental stewards. The school remains committed to supporting conservation efforts and nurturing a generation that values and protects wildlife.
