Kerala Public School, Burmamines observed Road Safety Day with the objective of creating awareness among students about safe and responsible behaviour on roads. The programme focused on educating students about traffic rules and the importance of road safety in everyday life.
An informative awareness session was conducted by Tr. Priyanka Dey, who sensitized students to various road safety rules, the significance of traffic signals, and the need to follow safety measures such as wearing helmets and seat belts. Her session helped students understand their role in preventing road accidents and promoting safe road practices.
The celebration also included a road safety pledge, which was solemnly led by Sir Abhay Kumar Dash. Through the pledge, students committed themselves to follow traffic rules, practice safe road behaviour and spread awareness about road safety within their community.
To encourage creative participation, a poster making activity was organised for students of Std. III to VII under the guidance of Sir Aditya Kumar.
Students of Std. VIII, IX and XI participated in a slogan writing activity guided by Tr. Afshan Nahid, where they expressed strong messages on road safety in an impactful manner.
The programme concluded on a meaningful note, instilling a sense of responsibility and awareness among students to ensure safety on roads for themselves and others.
