Kerala Public School, Burmamines observed National Girl Child Day with great enthusiasm to promote awareness about the rights, education and empowerment of the girl child. The celebration aimed to sensitize students towards gender equality and the importance of providing equal opportunities to girls in all spheres of life.
The programme featured an inspiring speech by Tr. Priti Jaiswal, who spoke about the significance of educating and empowering girls to build a strong and progressive society. She encouraged students to respect, support and uplift girls, emphasizing that every girl has the potential to lead and succeed.
As part of the celebration, a poster making activity was organised for students of Std. IV to VIII, guided by Sir Aditya Kumar, where participants creatively expressed their thoughts on themes related to girl child empowerment, education and equality.
Additionally, a documentary video highlighting issues, challenges and success stories related to the girl child was screened in the classes, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
The programme concluded with a meaningful message, reinforcing the values of respect, equality and empowerment, and inspiring students to contribute towards creating a society where every girl child can thrive.
