Kerala Public School, Burmamines enthusiastically celebrated National Sports Day to honour the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The day began with a special morning assembly, where Mr. Rakesh Kumar delivered an inspiring address highlighting Major Dhyan Chand’s dedication, discipline, and invaluable contribution to Indian sports. His words motivated students to embrace sportsmanship and physical fitness as an integral part of their lives.
As part of the celebration, the entire school—students and staff—took the Fit India Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
The Sports Department organised a variety of engaging indoor and outdoor sports activities, giving students an opportunity to participate, compete, and showcase their athletic abilities.
A Cycle Marathon was also conducted, encouraging students to adopt cycling as a fun and eco-friendly exercise. Adding to the excitement of the day, a Quiz Competition on sports and fitness was held for both junior and senior sections. Students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and knowledge.
