The students of Kerala Public School Burmamines had the exciting opportunity to witness a special promotional visit by the team of Jamshedpur Football Club (JFC). The highlight of the event was the presence of renowned footballer Mr. Pronay Halder, a distinguished defender of Jamshedpur FC. Born in Barrackpore, West Bengal, Mr. Halder began his football journey at the prestigious Tata Football Academy in 2007 and graduated in 2010. He proudly became the 496th player to represent India at the senior level, making his international debut against Nepal on 31st August 2015. He further made his mark by scoring a remarkable long-range goal on his debut against Chinese Taipei in the Intercontinental Cup held in Mumbai. Accompanying him were Mr. Amit Kumar, Media Manager, and Mr. Nishant Mahato, Media Intern of JFC. The event was smoothly coordinated by Mr. Sanjay Prasad, Chief of Oxford Ad Agency. The visit aimed to inspire young minds and promote enthusiasm for football among students. As part of the programme, the dignitaries felicitated the winners of the Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competitions under the theme “Jamshedpur Football Club”. The winners were: Slogan Writing Competition: 1st - Aradhya Sinha – VII C 2nd - Kavya – X A 3rd - Shital Purty – X A Poster Making Competition: 1st - Ujjwal Chauhan – IX D 2nd - Akanksha Sinha – VII D 3rd - Shreya Kumari – VI C The event proved to be highly motivating and memorable for the students, leaving them inspired by the journey and achievements of Mr. Pronay Halder and fostering a deeper interest in sports and teamwork.
