Kerala Public School, Burmamines proudly participated in Earth First 2026, organised by the KORU Foundation at Karim City College, Jamshedpur, with the objective of promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and responsible action towards protecting our planet. The event brought together several schools and young environmental enthusiasts to celebrate the spirit of conservation and collective responsibility for a greener future. Adding pride to the occasion, Kerala Public School, Burmamines secured the 2nd Position in the Recyclable Collection Drive organised by the KORU Foundation as a part of the Earth Day Initiative. The achievement reflected the school’s commitment towards environmental stewardship and active participation in sustainable practices. The programme also provided a platform for students to express their thoughts and concerns regarding environmental issues. Representing the school, Shruti Acharya of Std. X C delivered an insightful presentation on “Earth Through Our Eyes: A Student’s Voice on Climate Change and the Future We Want”. Her presentation highlighted the importance of environmental consciousness, climate responsibility, and the role of young minds in shaping a sustainable future. The event was attended by the school’s Eco Club In-charge, Ms. Sweta Kumari, whose guidance and encouragement motivated the students to actively participate in the initiative and contribute towards spreading awareness about environmental sustainability.
