Date : 20/04/2025 A team of four students from classes VI to VIII of Kerala Public School, Burmamines, actively participated in the working model exhibition hosted by The Institution of Engineers centered on the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience”, aimed at raising awareness and promoting innovative solutions for pressing environmental issues. The event brought together bright young minds, providing them a platform to showcase their creativity and scientific temperament. With great enthusiasm and teamwork, the students presented working models that highlighted sustainable methods to restore degraded land, combat desertification, and enhance resilience against drought conditions. Their model, created with eco-friendly materials and based on real-world applications, illustrated concepts like rainwater harvesting, afforestation techniques, soil conservation, and water-efficient irrigation methods. Their model was backed by thorough research and clear explanations, reflecting the students’ deep understanding of environmental challenges and their commitment to being change-makers of tomorrow.
